Ms. Chie Helinski shares that as part of the digital Japan Bowl preparation, Japan America Society of Southern California hosted a series of study sessions to the participants. One of the activities was to improve interview/conversational skills. On the last day of the study session, they held a speech contest judged by Japan Language Center/JPT America staff members.
Our junior, Henry Shannon, won the level 3 speech contest. He received a certificate and prizes. (photos attached)
In addition, our sophomore, Isabella Chen, received an honorable mention.
