School Counselor, Kristina Uy and Assistant Principal, Casey Pedrick shares that senior Christine Cabusay has been chosen as this year’s recipient of the Daniel Dromm Scholarship! Christine has a large fan base here at Stuy and we were all proud to be invited to the moment when the scholarship committee told her she was chosen as this year’s recipient.
Annually, the UFT Pride Committee distributes the Daniel Dromm Scholarship to graduating seniors who have not only exhibited academic excellence, but also displayed leadership in LGBTQIA+ activism. As the years progress, the Scholarship Review Committee has found it more difficult to narrow down the recipients, as there are so many students worthy of such an honor. This year, Christine Cabusay has won the scholarship.
