<p>Congratulations to the Class of 2023! Graduation will be at the Barclays Center on June 26, 2023 at 8:30am. Please read the instructions and information for arrival and ticketing:</p><ol><li>Ticketing: All ticketing for the venue will be electronic. Please note that instructions to access</li></ol><p>your tickets have been emailed to you at whatever email address you provided in the</p><p>graduation form. If you did not get tickets, they are still available for purchase until Friday at</p><p>11:00pm—simply go fill out the following form: https://tinyurl.com/late2023stuygrad.</p><p>Graduates do not need a ticket to enter; provided they are wearing cap and gown, they will</p><p>be admitted into the venue. Graduates will sit with their homerooms in chairs on the floor of the</p><p>Barclays Center stadium, and guests will be in the lower bowl of the stadium. All ticketing is</p><p>General Admission. There is no assigned seating. Please note that there will be no re-entry</p><p>allowed!</p><ol><li>Start Times and Directions: We are sharing the venue with Brooklyn Tech, who have their</li></ol><p>graduation later in the day. As a result, we are operating on a strict schedule. The ceremony will</p><p>last about 3.5 to 4 hours. We ask all graduates to be at the venue by 7:30 am so we can</p><p>begin promptly at 8:30 am. Homeroom readers must arrive at 7:00 am. All graduates and</p><p>only graduates will enter through the Dean Street Entrance. Guests may enter at 7:30am</p><p>through the main entrance. As you hopefully know by now, graduation will take place at the</p><p>Barclays Center. The address is 620 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY. There is extremely limited</p><p>parking in the area, so we strongly recommend taking mass transit. The following lines/stops</p><p>are closest:</p><p></p><p>Atlantic Terminal-Barclays Center Station</p><p>Located on Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush Avenue</p><p>Lafayette Avenue Station</p><p>Located on Fulton Street and South Portland Avenue</p><p>Fulton Street Station</p><p>Located on Fulton Street and Fort Greene Place</p><p>Additionally, the venue is very close to the LIRR—simply travel to Atlantic Terminal and follow</p><p>the signs and directions to the stadium.</p><p></p><ol><li>Cap and Gown and other Senior Items</li></ol><p>All seniors should have received their senior package by now—this contains their cap, gown,</p><p>2023 tassel, senior t-shirt, diploma case and keychain. If you do not have your package yet, it</p><p>is not too late—please contact me ASAP at polazzo@stuy.edu. The diplomas themselves have</p><p>been hand-calligraphed but are being stamped and will be distributed in homerooms on</p><p>Tuesday, June 27th. As a reminder, all fees should be cleared, all textbooks and devices</p><p>should be returned by June 23 at 4:00pm. The building may be entered from 2:30pm to</p><p>4pm this week due to Regents exams. Additionally, the 2023 yearbook is still available for</p><p>purchase you may do so until Friday, 11pm, June 23 for $85 through this link:</p><p>https://stuy.enschool.org/apps/forms2/?f=38277.</p><ol><li>Plan for the Day</li></ol><p></p><p>After the opening we will have speeches along with a combination of live as well as pre-</p><p>recorded musical performances. Seniors will cross the stage, and will have the opportunity to</p><p>shake hands with the principal. When each senior crosses the stage, their picture will be</p><p>displayed on the Jumbotron along with their name. Seniors will go by official class, starting</p><p>with 7AA. We hope to be done by 12:00 pm at the latest, but this is a complicated undertaking</p><p>and we ask that you be patient with us. We must clear the stadium immediately as there is</p><p>a graduation following ours. Outside the main entrance, there will be photo opportunities</p><p>set up by the Parent’s Association.</p><ol><li>Food/Prohibited Items</li></ol><p>Food and drink are not allowed in the venue. Please note that thermoses are not allowed,</p><p>though you may bring an empty disposable plastic container for the water fountain. Also,</p><p>there will be limited concessions available for purchase—please plan accordingly!</p><ol><li>Accessibility/Security</li></ol><p>If you have mobility issues or accessibility issues, please alert the venue staff upon entry and</p><p>they will help guide you to appropriate seats.
