The application for the New York City delegation of the Angelo Del Toro Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute (PR/HYLI) is now available. Hispanic/Latino(a)(e)(x) high school students may apply to the institute. The program is designed to empower these students and provide a platform for student leadership. Selected delegates will be invited to attend an in-person debate at the New York State Senate Chambers in Albany, NY where all NY delegates will meet and debate the legislative bills learned. Seniors who participate in PR/HYLI may also apply for a college scholarship.
Check out this flyer—in English and Spanish—for eligible grade 11 and grade 12 students. Interested students should apply by November 1.
