Every parent/legal guardian in the central NYCPS system should have an NYC Schools Account. The email address you use on the NYCS account is the one that will be placed on all school systems (Jupiter, Talos, etc.,) and is the controlling parent account. Families can use their NYCSA accounts to complete or update digital forms for school and update and verify emergency contact information via the Emergency Contact feature.
- The 2027 Community and Citywide Education Council (CCEC) election will take place from January–May. Parents must verify that their student(s) are linked to the parent/guardian account, as an NYCS Account is required to apply for a council seat and to vote. Families can learn more about education councils at schools.nyc.gov/ccecs.
- Families with students in grades 6–12 can navigate to the Transportation tile in NYCSA to request a discount code for NYC Ferry tickets. Once requested, NYCSA will display a code that parents can provide to their students to purchase discounted ferry tickets for the 2026–27 school year.
