The Stuyvesant Alumni Scholarships application is now live! The Stuyvesant HS Alumni Association (SHSAA) is awarding over 40 scholarships worth more than $100,000. There is one scholarship for juniors - The Carol and Theodore Lerner Award for Creativity. The rest are for seniors.
Common Questions on FAFSA and Financial Information:
- If students have already provided their colleges with the CSS Profile: They can submit that form in lieu of the FAFSA, but only if they did not submit a FAFSA.
- If the student has not filed the FAFSA because they are ineligible for federal aid: They should explain this in the "Financial Aid Information" section of the application. All students are welcome to apply, regardless of federal financial aid eligibility.
- Confidentiality: All information submitted in the application is kept strictly confidential. Scholarship committee members and any additional parties reviewing applications must sign and adhere to a confidentiality agreement.
- Financial Information: Students must provide the financial information listed in the checklist as a 1-page PDF.
