What will we be studying?
Big History is a relatively new academic discipline, which examines history from the Big Bang to the present. It examines long time frames using an interdisciplinary approach by combining numerous disciplines (Science, Mathematics, Humanities, etc.). The goal is to explore human existence in the context of this bigger picture.
What will be expected of me?
This class will be taught in a computer lab and is best suited for students who will enjoy exploring history in part, through the use of technology. Students who complete this course will be granted credit for Global Studies I and II. Students taking this course will still be eligible for AP World or AP European History their sophomore year.
Selection for this class will be by lottery.
