Youth Leadership Council Opportunity for Students this Winter!

Ms. Marissa Maggio, faculty advisor for the Enrionmental Club shares that The NYC Department of Education Office of Sustainability is recruiting NYC public and charter high school students for a Youth Leadership Council (YLC) that will help plan a Youth Climate Summit this winter. Students will gain a variety of professional and organizing skills and be actively involved in increasing DOE sustainability efforts. They're ooking for NYC public or charter 9-12th graders who are passionate about the environment, community empowerment, and climate change resiliency to join our YLC! They will meet for 2 hours after-school once per month from October-May (8 meetings) at 44-36 Vernon Blvd, Long Island City.
