<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Ms. Marissa</strong> Maggio, faculty advisor for the Enrionmental Club shares that <strong>The NYC Department of Education Office of Sustainability</strong> is recruiting NYC public and charter high school students for a <strong>Youth Leadership Council (YLC)</strong> that will help plan a <strong>Youth Climate Summit</strong> this winter. Student<strong>s </strong>will gain a variety of professional and organizing skills and be actively involved in increasing DOE sustainability efforts. They're ooking for NYC public or charter 9-12th graders who are passionate about the environment, community empowerment, and climate change resiliency to join our YLC! They will meet for 2 hours after-school once per month from October-May (8 meetings) at 44-36 Vernon Blvd, Long Island City.
