Welcome new Assistant Principal of World Languages Department, Francesca McAuliffe!

We are happy to have Ms. Francesca McAuliffe as our new Assistant Principal leading the World Language Department. Joining the Stuyvesant family, we asked our her three questions to get to know her a little better.

Ms. McAuliffe was “born in Brooklyn to Italian immigrants”. She resides “in Staten Island, and taught Spanish at New Dorp High School for 14 years prior to joining the Stuy staff.” Ms. McAuliffe is “very interested in utilizing authentic resources to engage students in their world languages of study.” She also shared that “before joining the amazing educators, students, and support staff at Stuyvesant [she] also worked as the boys varsity soccer coach at [her] alma matter Susan Wagner High School for eight seasons.” We’re so happy to welcome Ms. McAuliffe to the Stuyvesant family and thank her for letting us get to know her a little better!
