Urban Ecology Classes take Trips to the Tenement Museum and Yonkers Waste Water Treatment Plant

<p><span style="caret-color: #000000; font-family: Tahoma; text-size-adjust: auto;"><strong>Ms. Marissa Maggio</strong> shares that over the last two weeks, the <strong>Urban Ecology class</strong> has visited the <strong>Tenement Museum</strong> to learn about the living conditions of immigrants at turn of 20th century.  They toured the <strong>Yonkers Waste Water Treatment Plant</strong> and the <strong>Materials Recycling Plants</strong> to learn what happens to our waste once its gone, and completed a walking tour of lower Manhattan tracing the intriguing story of NYC's drinking water.  They ended the tour at Collect Pond Park the location of the large pond that once supplied the colonists with their drinking water.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span><br style="caret-color: #000000; font-family: Tahoma; text-size-adjust: auto;"/><br style="caret-color: #000000; font-family: Tahoma; text-size-adjust: auto;"/></p>
