As you consider applying to UC Santa Barbara (especially those outside of California), here are a few resources and tips to help navigate the University of California (UC) application.

Key reminders for students:
- The fall 2026 UC application submission period is Oct. 1–Dec. 1 (no early action or early decision). Encourage your students to take their time, there’s no rush!
- UC requires its own Personal Insight Questions (different from standard essays). Watch the Breaking Down the PIQs playlist and share with your students!
- Students must meet UC’s A-G subject requirements. Students should cross-check their unofficial transcripts while completing their application (official transcripts are not required prior to admission decisions unless requested by UC)
