This past summer, two groups of Stuyvesant students were on a service trip to Yellowstone National Park with teachers and chaperones. Students spent time in the Lamar Valley learning how to age and sex bison as well as how to use the telemetry equipment in preparation for a bison research day. Students also collected demographic data on bison herds while group of students practiced with telemetry. They hiked in the park and got to know each other and ecosystems of Yellowstone.
