Supplemental College Essay Review for Seniors by Dr. Shere

Now that we are past November 1, please remember that Dr. Shere is still available to provide college essay or supplemental essay review for ANY senior applying with the November 15, December 1, or RD dealines. If you would like to receive feedback from Dr. Shere on any of these essays, you can share them with Dr. Shere via Google (cshere@stuy.edu) along with the following information:

• Essay should be in a clean google doc (no other existing comments)
• Prompt or supplemental question should be included
• Actual word count and word count limit included
• What do you want the admission officer to know about you through reading your Common App essay/supplemental essay? What do you want to convey through the essay that isn't already in your application packet?

If you have questions or would like to discuss your essay in-person, please email her directly. 

We do ask that if you will share your essays with your assigned college counselor, please do not also ask Dr. Shere to review them. There is no need for multiple counselors to review your essays.  This is also unfair to other students.  Remember, we have over 800 seniors to serve.
