<p><strong>A little PTC trivia</strong>: Each Fall, well over <strong>2,000 parents</strong> attend; and our faculty holds approximately <strong>9,000 individual conferences</strong> with parents! For several years, we’ve provided <strong>one-to-one interpreters</strong> from our partnership with <strong>NYU</strong> and <strong>Columbia University’s</strong> International Schools. This week, <strong>132 parents </strong>benefited from <strong>113 translators. ARISTA </strong>coordinated <strong>370 student volunteers</strong> comprised of members of their Honor Society as well as <strong>Key Club</strong>, and <strong>Red Cross</strong> and other students, who assisted teachers over the two-days. Additionally, over <strong>100 parents observed classes on Friday</strong>. This Fall, with the use of <strong>Talos</strong>, <strong>4595 </strong>registered <strong>parents</strong> of Stuyvesant’s 6017 <strong>received report cards emailed </strong>directly to them <strong>in their home language</strong> to refer to at conferences for more meaningful conversations with teachers. Congratulations to Assistant Principal of Organization, <strong>Dr. Gary Haber</strong> for a successful and smooth administration of Parent Teacher Conference week and gratitude to the <strong>Technology Department </strong>for their support as well as to the large army of helpers involved.</p>
<p>All of Stuyvesant’s staff whole-heartedly thanks the <strong>Stuyvesant Parent’s Association</strong> and their volunteers for their hard work in hosting the <strong>Fall Faculty Reception</strong> Thursday! The staff was very appreciative for all the delicious food, desserts, and honored by your efforts. Each year gets better and better! Many thanks to the <strong>Stuyvesant Jazz</strong> band for their musical accompaniment to dinner!
