Mr. Brian Sterr shares this weekend, the Stuyvesant Math Team hosted the 2nd Annual Downtown Mathematics Invitational. The students wrote all of the problems for the competition and handled all of the tasks on the day of the competition, including proctoring the competition, escorting the teams around the building and grading the competition. There were 203 students representing 20 different schools in New York City. The team from Over 75 students from the Stuyvesant math team were involved in the effort, led by senior captains Milan Haiman, Matthew Kendall, and Hanna Yang, as well as Kimi Sun, Akash Das, and Rishabh Das.
