Stuyvesant Celebrates Hispanic Heritage 2025!

Stuyvesant High School celebrated Hispanic Heritage at the annual event and dinner in the cafeteria last Thursday, October 9. Students, staff, parents and alumni were in attendance to celebrate Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future. School Counselor, Sandra Brandan, and Spanish teacher, Ms. Rosanny Genao along with ASPIRA and in collaboration with with the PA's Mosaic outreach committee and others outdid themselves with this wonderful themed event featuring aspects of the NYC Hispanic community.. Special guest speaker, Honorable Joseph S. Zayas addressed the audience,and we heard from student leadership, Principal Yu and other staff members. All enjoyed Anoushka Knowles documentary presentation on the History of New York's Hispanic Community from her NHD project. SHSAA Executive Director, Diego Segalini was honored for his contributions and support to this annual event. There was delicious food, rich history, and great fun with all.
