Stuyvesant Blood Drive on September 25th

Stuyvesant Blood Drive on September 25th

Stuyvesant will be hosting its first Blood Drive of the school year on Tuesday, September 25th. Hurricane Florence leaves many Americans in danger. In emergency situations, local blood supplies often reach critical lows and blood centers across the country are relied upon to help fill in the gaps. A continuous blood supply is vital to ensure that all areas, hospitals and patients impacted by the hurricane have access to the emergency blood they need. Right now, blood donations are needed more than ever. If you have been looking for a way to help out the hurricane victims, this is the chance! To meet the requirements to donate, students must be 16 years of age or older by September 25. There is also a height and weight requirement shown HERE.

There will be free pizza and snacks, as well as a raffle. If you are a senior who donates twice this school year, you will receive a red donor cord to wear during graduation. Students must be 16 years or older to donate. Please see the Facebook page: “Stuyvesant High School Blood Drive” for more information and to sign up.
