Mr. Bill Boericke shares that the Stuy Chess Team hosted an event on Wednesday, March 27. Team Captain, Justin Chen conducted a "simultaneous exhibition," meaning that he played 18 games of chess at the same time, usually pausing only a few seconds at each board before making his move. Three members of the Stuy chess team were among the competition, so it wasn't exactly a cakewalk for Justin. At the end of the day, Justin won 15 games, lost 2 and drew 1.
