Stuy STEM Goes Red is the first high school club to be partnered with the American Heart Association, and their goal is to promote education regarding the heart and cardiovascular disease as well as involvement in STEM careers and numerous STEM-related opportunities.
They are hosting a lecture by Dr. Cindy Sturt, a cardiovascular surgeon and a Stuyvesant alum. She will discuss her experience in getting to where she is today, and what she has learned from her first-hand work in the field. She will also talk about some of her most interesting cases and provide informative visuals!
