<p>Stuyvesant’s award-winning <strong>Robotics FRC Team 694, Stuy Fission</strong> competed at the <strong>Tech Valley Regional,</strong> where they <strong>became Finalists</strong>, and <strong>FTC Team 310</strong> competed at the <strong>FTC NYC Championship,</strong> where they<strong> won 1st place for the Connect Award and 3rd place for the Inspire Award, qualifying both teams for the FIRST World Championships in Detroit</strong> from April 24th to 27th. If only attending the competition were as easy as qualifying! Another obstacle is the cost; more than half the school and team qualifies for free or reduced lunch; it is impossible for many to afford the cost of attending these competitions, especially Champs. We want to ensure that every hard-working, devoted student is able to attend the most important competition of the year, regardless of their financial status.
