Stuy places 2nd Place in NYC Classical Club Translation Competition

Congratulations to junior Joshua Shvartsman (level 3 Ovid) and to senior Raymond Chen (level 5 Horace) for winning second place in their respective divisions at the NYC Classical Club Sight Translation competition. Competing against both private and public school students from around the NYC-area, Joshua and Raymond deftly translated an unseen passage of authentic Latin and earned commendations and a prize to be given at the upcoming NYCC Spring Lecture. Other Stuyvesant students just missed placing in the top three in the other divisions as well as in the recitation competition.
