We're looking for current Stuyvesant parents to help us welcome incoming parents and guardians to the Stuyvesant Family and offer advice during homeroom breakout sessions for Camp Stuy for Parents on August 31, 2023!
Experienced Stuy parents will speak to incoming 9th and 10th grade parents about their Stuy experience, answer questions and concerns and talk about first-time jitters.
Most volunteers can arrive by 9:30, but 10-15 parents are needed by 8am. The sessions will all end by 12:30/1pm! Please email Dina Ingram, at RIngram3@schools.nyc.gov if you have questions. You can also reach out to Natalie Tang at ntang5@schools.nyc.gov. Your advice is valuable to new parents and we are often the best qualified to help with what to expect as parents of a Stuy student having been through it all!
We will need bi-lingual volunteers that have neurodiverse parents and speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Spanish and Bengali as well as parents who experienced entering Stuy as a 10th grade parent.
