The Stuy Parent's Association hosted a fabulous Faculty Reception on Friday, November 18, 2022 during our Fall Parent Teacher Conferences! Walls and tables were decorated with notes and cards of appreciation from our students written in the weeks leading up to conferences, an effort led by our Student Union. Our Jazz Band serenaded our staff members while they picked up a delicious lunch and many homemade donated desserts from our Stuy families.
Principal Yu later expressed his gratitude in saying, "I cannot express enough my appreciation for the luncheon you provided to our entire staff today. The delicious food and beverages would have been more than enough, but you went above and beyond with the students’ notes of appreciation. Our students’ words and actions matter to our staff and you recognized that with the notes hanging on the wall and on the tables. You created a space for the staff to truly feel appreciated for what we do in working with your young person. Our staff felt seen, heard, and relevant today! I cannot say, “thank you” enough!"
