<p>Senior, <strong>Joshua Weiner</strong> shares an update from <strong>Stuyvesant’s Model UN team</strong> over the last month’s events: <strong>WAMUNC XXI</strong></p>
<p>Over the weekend of March 21st to March 24th, the team traveled to the nation’s capital for the 21st session of the <strong>Washington Area Model United Nations Conference</strong> (WAMUNC) run by George Washington University. Delegates discussed world issues ranging from the devolving crisis in Venezuela to the Yemeni Civil War: identifying the different aspects of their respective topics and working for four days to develop constructive solutions. In addition to the usual resolution building, speaking, and networking, our delegates also had the opportunity to explore the many places of national importance within Washington D.C. – from excursions to Smithsonian museums to exploring the National Mall and the many government institutions that line it. Furthermore, many Stuyvesant delegates were able to converse with experts brought into the conference to further discuss the topics of their respective committees. WAMUNC was a triumphant success, and a great sendoff as the last collegiate conference for our seniors.</p>
<p>Our delegates made their voices heard, and it showed. Congratulations to the following students who won these awards:</p>
