Stuy Japanese Students will compete in Japan this summer!

Ms. Chie Helinski shares good news from Japan America Society of Washington, DC, the organizer of Japan Bowl. Our level 4 team will be going to Japan in July as part of Kakehashi Project funded  by Asian Pacific American Institute of Congressional Studies in conjunctions with the Japanese government. This free trip is for the top 5 finishers of the level 4 competition. Congratulations to Wanying Li, Henry Shannon, and Emily Young-Squire, who will be traveling to several cities and have a chance to deepen their cultural understanding and showing off their language skills!

Also, our level 2 team won the competition and they members are invited to participate in Global Japan Bowl that will take place in July. Global Japan Bowl is hosted online by Japan Global Education and will feature Japan Bowl participants from around the world as they compete in two rounds of competition. It is an individual competition and will be done using Kahoot! Congratulations to Collin Liang and Jaeho Cho, who will participate. (Orrick Pun was also chosen, but will not be able to participate due to conflicts with the Tokyo CIEE summer program). Congrats to all! We'll be cheering GO STUY!
