On June 29, August 30 and August 31, Stuyvesant held its traditional Camp Stuy parts I and II for students and Camp Stuy for Families! Big Sibs and student volunteers cheered on the Class of 2027. Along with placement exams, new students had the opportunity to meet and bond with their classmates and play games, take photo ID photos, meet school counselors and administration members and go on a scavenger hunt for their Class memory cube hidden in the walls of Stuy that they will fill upon graduation. At the August session, they had a Fall orientation and learned where their lockers were, bonded with homeroom buddies and toured the building.
Parents and guardians attending their own orientation on August 31 and met the administration and school counselors. There were over 65 parent volunteers that offered their expertise and shared their advice in homeroom sessions along with Big Sibs and counselors. We were so happy to welcome them all to the #StuyFamily!
