The Stuyvesant Environmental Club hosted their first guest speaker event on October 10th in Lecture Hall A, featuring a Stuyvesant alumna: Louise Wagenseil! In her presentation she shared about her love for the great outdoors and her passion for ecology that prompted her to pursue a career in environmental science and conservation. Students had the opportunity to learn and ask questions about her pathway to becoming a Wetland Project Associate in NYC Parks—from her experience in college to internships and volunteer work to the ups and downs of searching for a job in the city. Her work contributes to the effort in helping care for and conserve NYC’s wetlands.
