Coach Parris shares that the World Cup is taking place in NYC in Queens and there’s an area by the World Trade, advertising the World Cup, with flags of every team around the world. Recently, the Cricket commissioner invited Stuy's team to a World Cup event at the Millennium Hotel near Stuy. They had the opportunity to meet a famous cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar. What a great opportunity for our students! Team members were given kit bags with helmets, pads, gloves and bat as gifts. They were able to partake in group activities and were even interviewed about the Stuy Cricket team and how cricket impacted their lives. Pictured is Maif Biswas with Sachin Tendulkar.
