On Sunday, September 8th, CBS Correspondent and '02 Alumna, Adrianna Diaz returned to Stuy with her classmates to discuss that tragic day 18 years ago and the documentary In the Shadow of The Towers: Stuyvesant High on 9/11 along with their work with Annie Thoms on With Their Eyes.
Lila Nordstrom, Mohammad Haque, Liz O'Callahan and Jukay Hsu (Stuy '02) spoke about their memories of that day and their experiences. We took a walk through the hallways they walked as students and even down the same route they used to exit Stuyvesant on 9/11. Lila Nordstrom spoke of her work with StuyHealth, a non-profit organization she founded to advocate for young adults impacted by events of 9/11 and the World Trade Center cleanup. She recently successfully testified before congress.
