Last week, we held the first Family Engagement Workshop of the school year: “Stuy 101” for Freshman parents & guardians. Over 300 parents & guardians were in attendance!
Assistant Principal, Mr. Smith shared graduation and Regent exam requirements; SPARK Counselor, Mr. Colon reviewed Freshman Seminars and the School Counseling Department; Internships & Opportunities Coordinator, Mr. Blumm went over opportunities for a first summer at Stuy; parents were introduced to their grade representatives by PA Co-President, Alex Shafran; Director of Family Engagement, Ms. Ingram went over Talos, online systems at Stuy and Tips & Tricks of being a Stuy Parent and Principal Contreras went over the Homework Policy, the Spiral of Communication and Expectations at Stuyvesant.
