At the Pier 40 Wetlab on Wednesday, October 13, members of the environmental club used calipers to measure oyster growth and monitor the progress of cages we’ve been studying for several years. We examined the incredible growth of the oysters, counted how many were in each cage, and observed the biodiversity they support through BOP (Billion Oyster Project). We even spotted some amazing wildlife living among the oysters along with the usual sea squirts and mussels, including bass and a massive blue crab!
