Student Screening with filmmakers: NYC Covid Diaries; HBO special!

Student Screening with filmmakers: NYC Covid Diaries; HBO special!

COVID DIARIES NYC is a new HBO film that chronicles the lives of five young filmmakers, ranging in age from 17 to 21, who turn their cameras on themselves to tell the stories of their families during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York City. The film is made up of five brave and deeply personal first-person profiles that provide profound insight into these young people’s experiences as they process the impacts and meaning of COVID-19. You can view a trailer for the film here.

You're invited to attend a free virtual screening of COVID DIARIES NYC, followed by Q&As with the young filmmakers. We hope the screening will inspire students to reflect on their own experiences during this historic past year, and maybe even empower them to begin documenting their own stories. We will also be providing an educator's guide to accompany the film.

There are several screening opportunities throughout the week of May 3. You can choose the date that works best for you and RSVP here: https://coviddiariesscreeningweek-nyc.splashthat.com/
