Spring Fun Fair on 3/27/26 Proposals due 3/1

Spring Fun Fair on 3/27/26 Proposals due 3/1

On March 27, following the administration of the SAT, we will hold our first Spring Fun Fair: an interactive event where students, clubs, teachers, and any member of the school staff can apply to lead workshops and sessions on topics of personal interest and expertise. Rather than running shortened class periods, we will use the time after the SAT to engage students and build community.

Students, is there an interest or skill you have that you or your club would like to share with other students/staff? Would you like to co-present with another member of the Stuy community?Think broadly: consider your interests and passions---students can even pair up with teachers/staff members who may want to present together!

Sessions may cover any topic—from art and improv to meditation, creative writing, coding, dance, or debate—as long as a facilitator can teach or lead it in an engaging manner. The goal is to create a diverse menu of offerings that allows students to explore new interests, learn from peers and staff, and build community. Workshops will be selected based on feasibility, logistics, and diversity of offerings.

From 12:54 to 2:50, we will run three 40-minute sessions--if you apply and are chosen, you will lead the same session three times in a row. RFPs (Requests for Proposals) are due by 6:00 pm Sunday, March 1. A PA committee will review and approve them, and students will be offered the chance to sign up for workshops of their choice.

We’re excited to use this afternoon time for something that we hope will be inspiring and build community among all members. Thank you for your support!
