Spring AP Exam Registration & Payment open until March 4, 2022

The College Board Advanced Placement (AP) exams will be administered in May 2022 as indicated on the Stuyvesant High School AP Exam Schedule. Please review the information below to determine if/what action steps you may need to take.

Regular Fall Registration for AP Exams ended in November 2021 for full year AP courses and (Fall Term only AP courses).

Stuyvesant High School’s final deadline (no exceptions) to complete registration for all AP examinations is Friday, March 4, 2022. Please review the following to determine if the situation applies to you: 

  • Spring 2022 – Single Term (One Semester) Classes
    • Only applies to students who are enrolled in Spring Term 2022 single term AP classes – AP Gov’t & Politics, AP Physics C E&M, AP Comparative Gov’t, and AP Microeconomics can register for the corresponding exams at My AP by obtaining the College Board Join Code from their AP teacher.
    • Deadline is Friday, March 4, 2022.
  • AP Exam Late Registration
    • Only applies to students who want to register for an AP examination corresponding to a full year AP course or (Fall Term only AP course).
    • Students must complete the AP Exam Late Registration Form
    • The fee for late registration is $40 (this fee applies to all students) in addition to the $96 Exam fee (unless qualified for no-fee AP exams for economic hardship). 
    • Deadline is Friday, March 4, 2022.
  • AP Exam Deregistration
    Students who have already registered for an AP examination, but have decided to not take the exam, should deregister.  The fee for canceling an exam a student registered for in November 2021 is $40 per exam. This applies even to students qualifying for or no-fee AP exams for economic hardship. Complete the AP Exam Deregistration Form

to deregister from an exam.  After you deregister, the Stuyvesant AP Coordinator will finalize the deregistration process. Please note, if you submit payment for an AP exam and decide to deregister or do not take the AP exam, then refunds will be issued. 

  • AP Exams Payment
    Families are to make payment through the Advanced Placement Examination Payment Portal. A third party (Stripe.com) and not Stuyvesant High School is collecting the AP Exam fees. Payment for AP exams will not be accepted at school. Payments must be made by Friday, March 4, 2022. Each AP exam costs $96 plus a credit card service fee. The late registration fee is $40 plus a credit card service fee.

Students who qualify for economic hardship will have exam costs covered by the NYC Department of Education (NYC DOE). Students/families can complete the Family Income Inquiry Form to apply for hardship support (if this applies to you, please submit the form by Friday, February 25, 2022 for your forms to process).
