Presidents of the Speech & Debate team, Nishmi Abayweera and Camilla Green shared that the team had great competitions this month at Princeton, Mamaroneck and Ursuline! At Princeton, sophomore, Justin Sword and junior, Jeremy Lee from Public Forum reached Finals, receiving their 2nd bid qualifying them for the Tournament of Champions (TOC)! Congratulations! Also at Princeton, Claire Lu reached the semifinals receiving her 2nd bid and qualifying her for the TOC in Lincoln Douglas as 3rd speaker. Congratulations, Claire! More cheers for sophomore, Carter Ley in Congress who reached the semifinals and captain, Christian Bae received their 3rd bid qualifying them for the TOC. At Mamaroneck, in Novice Policy, sophomores Lisa Chen and May Hathaway reached the semifinals. Sophomores, Matthew Bark and freshman Matthew Qui reached semifinals as well. Congrats to all! In Varsity Policy, sophomore, Aidan Ng and junior, Ayham Alnasser reached the Octofinals.
