News from the Speech & Debate Team from the Weekend of December 15th!
Stuy policy had another eventful weekend full of procedural fairness and education. Novices swept the UDL at Brooklyn Tech! Everyone got an award!!
Stuy ST (David and Kevin) finished in 15th place and Kevin was the 22nd speaker. Stuy LS (Frances and Vivien) snagged 11th place and 18th and 3rd speakers, respectively. Stuy EP (Sirui and Sam) ended in 6th place. Sam and Sirui were the 24th and 20th speakers, respectively. Stuy CG (Chris and Jason) finished in 3rd place as the 14th and 4th speakers respectively. Last but not least, Stuy HQ (May and Matthew) took FIRST PLACE and the 7th and 5th speakers respectively.

While the youngsters were tearing it up at the UDL, the varsity were in Minneapolis at the Blake tournament. Stuy CF (Julianna and Jeffrey) went 4-3 in prelims. That’s about it.
The sophomore/junior duo Stuy LS (Justin and Jeremy) won Blake in the PF division, meaning they got their THIRD gold bid to the TOC. Christian (Christopher) also made it to finals of Congress!
