September 17, 2019 Parent Association Meeting & Election - Special Presentation by Angel Colon

Elections will be held for one SLT delegate for Freshman Parent Representative and for Members-at-Large on all grade level at the General PA Meeting on Tuesday, September 17^th at 7pm. Translation available in Chinese. Arrive early for ballot sign in and voter validation. Doors open by 6.

Note, no one may vote by proxy. Only those in attendance in person may vote. You must be a legal parent and/or guardian of a student currently enrolled at Stuyvesant High School to vote.

There will be a presentation during the counting of ballots. Here is a description from the Program Chair for the PA, Mr. Richard Bernstein:

 

Managing stress; talking about drugs--two of the issues that high school families face, including at a high-pressure place like Stuyvesant High School.  Come to the Parents Association general meeting on Sept. 17 to hear Angel Colon, the school's specialist on the problem of illegal substances, talk about that issue--how big a problem is it at Stuy and how should parents deal with it.  Some senior students will also be on hand to share their experiences coping with the stresses and strains of student life.
