-rec letters are confidential, so you will not be able to upload a rec to the application. Instead, ask your recommender to email the letter to: Rbrown1@uft.org. You can upload a very breif statement in the rec portion of your application stating that rec letters at Stuy are strictly confidential and that your recommender will instead email their letter directly toRbrown1@uft.org
Applications for the 2021 Daniel Dromm scholarship are now open. Each year, the UFT Pride Committee awards a $1,000 college scholarship to qualified high school seniors in each borough. Named for Daniel Dromm, a member of the New York City Council and Chair of the Council’s LGBTQ caucus, the scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellent and a commitment to activism in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
This year, we have decided to make the application digital to make it easier for students to apply. Please don't hesitate to share the application link with any students you feel might be a good fit for this scholarship.
Please note that applicants must be attending college in the fall and must also have a GPA of at least 3.0. They will also need to provide their transcript and a letter of recommendation.
The deadline to submit an application is Thursday, April 15.
