SENIORS 2026: Reporting ACT & SAT Scores to Colleges

However, several universities very popular with Stuy students including <b>Carnegie Mellon University, Georgetown U., NYU, Princeton, SUNY Stony Brook, and SUNY Buffalo U. many others DO NOT ACCEPT SELF-REPORTED SCORES.</b>  If you are applying to any of these colleges you must have an official score report sent to each.</p><p>Know that sending scores online from ACT and CollegeBoard is a process that takes several weeks.  To be safe, make sure to make your score send requests online well in advance of application deadlines.</p><p><b>***EA applicants to Stony Brook U must send their scores at least a few weeks in advance as SBU requires EA applicant scores to be</b> <b>received</b> <b>by 11/1.  Similarly, we recommend that applicants to CUNY Macaulay Honors programs send official test-scores to CUNY UAPC (code 2950) at least six weeks in advance of their application deadlines (Nov 3 for ED, Nov 17 RD).***</b></p><p><b>Remember also that many colleges are test-optional; that means you can apply to those colleges without scores.  </b>However, test -optional colleges will still consider scores if submitted.
