School Day SAT is March 4 for Juniors - Non-attendance school day

<p>Assistant Principal of Organization and Testing Coordinator, <strong>Dr. Gary Haber</strong> shares that <strong>Wednesday, March 4, 2020</strong> is <strong>SAT day at Stuyvesant High School</strong>, <strong>11th graders</strong> at Stuyvesant HS (and throughout New York City) are<strong> scheduled to take the SAT (Without the Essay)</strong>. Only <strong>11th graders are eligible to take the SAT on March 4, 2020</strong>. There is <strong><u>no</u> cost </strong>to students for this SAT administration. There is no need to register with the College Board for the March 4, 2020 SAT.</p> <p>The NYC DOE approved Stuyvesant High School's request for a non-attendance day on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. <strong>There will be <u>no</u> classes. 9th, 10th, and 12th graders will <u>not</u> be in attendance. 11th graders are <u>not </u>required to take the SAT on March 4th and will <u>not </u>be considered absent from school if they do not take the exam.</strong></p> <p><strong>11th graders taking the exam are to arrive at school at 7:45 am and must be in their assigned test rooms at 8:15 am.</strong></p> <p>Dr. Haber sent these instructions with room assignments: Bring two No. 2 pencils with a soft eraser.  Do not bring a pen or mechanical pencil. Bring your own calculator. Make sure your calculator is in good working order with fresh batteries. Students may bring a snack and water to be consumed in designated areas during scheduled breaks in testing.
