You’ll hear important school updates, information from Internships and Opportunities coordinator, Harvey Blumm as well as be treated to a special presentation from Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Mike Fraser.
Dr. Fraser helps parents understand the pitfalls of excessive screen use in youth and its impact on social, emotional, behavioral and academic development. He will provide an overview of the problem, as well as practical parenting tips to prepare our children to not only get into college but to set them up for success for college and beyond.
Dr. Fraser is a 30-year member of the American Psychological Association, and is currently the Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services outpatient clinic at Weill Cornell Medical College - Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center. He has been a featured speaker on the topic of Compulsive Internet and Video Game Use at the New York State Psychological Association's Annual Convention in New York City. He has been the recipient of the Weill Cornell Medical College Department of Psychiatry's Outstanding Teacher Award twice, and is the past Chair of the Psychology Directors of New York State (PSYDNYS).
