Question of the Week - 11/4/19 - WHERE CAN STUDENTS GO FOR ACADEMIC HELP?

QUESTION OF THE WEEK

Where can students go for academic help?

Now that the 2nd marking period is underway, it’s a good time to get a boost by going to the Writing Center! Whether you have a little writer’s block or just need to get a paper completed, you can stop by periods 3-8 during lunch or free periods in room 615E (next door to Mr. Grossman’s office).

  • Students may also use Academic Intervention Services (AIS) after school! Stuy teachers meet on a weekly schedule to offer free tutoring and support! Check out what classes are offered and the entire schedule in the link provided in the Programming Section of this Update!
  • Sign up for an Arista Tutor! FREE one-to-one peer tutoring provided by upperclassmen who have achieved academic mastery in specific subjects, essay writing and editing! Sessions may be scheduled during a free or lunch period or anytime that is mutually convenient! Want more information on Arista? See the Student Union section of every Update!
  • Students may also visit the Computer Science Dojo if they need help with CS. The Dojo is open from Monday through Thursday from 3:40pm-5pm in room 307.
