<p>Program change requests began on 9/1/2023 and will conclude on 9/5/2023 at 5pm for students in grades 10-12. All requests must be made through Talos except for Grade 9 students, who may see counselors in room 236 on September 7 or 8 during lunch or a free period for errors in their schedule.</p><p><b>You may read the entire instructions along with the electives grid and course list at</b> <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Fjq0ehPYjtDABXESTGrZ9krV_zLHrKK4tMsjdKlHc90/edit?usp=sharing">this link.</a></p><p>Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 will have the opportunity to request <b>ONE</b> program change submission through <a href="https://talos.stuy.edu/auth/login/?next=/users/students"><b>Talos</b></a>. Incoming grade 9 (freshmen) students will have an opportunity to fix any program issues with their counselor on the first days of school (9/7/23 and 9/8/23). Please keep in mind a program change request submission <b>does not guarantee</b> the request will result in a changed program schedule.</p><p>The request submission is a <b><i>request only</i></b> and dependent on many factors including graduation and Stuy endorsement requirements, AP limits and prerequisites, seat availability, and mandated instructional periods and courses/labs. Be sure to review this entire message (and the <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LSFiN62WZx7v6XXao3VZMnGDp55T7GcGvA-MWvUuxiE/edit?usp=sharing">FAQ</a>) as we provide more information for what qualifies as one program change request submission along with how and when to submit a program change request. <b>Please note, program change requests on the basis of the following reasons below will be denied</b>:</p><ul><li>Teacher preference</li><li>Period preference. Examples include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Travel distance from home</li><li>Requests to arrive late/leave early</li><li>Changes to lunch period</li></ul></li><li>Undocumented health issues</li><li>Classroom location</li><li>Requests to reverse previously requested program change</li></ul><p><b>***IMPORTANT: The deadline for all students to submit a program change request through Talos is Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 5:00 pm EST.</b></p>
