Professional Scientists Needed to Volunteer to Read Research Papers for Regeneron Research Seniors

Regeneron Research Coordinator, Mr. Jason Econome is seeking help of professional scientist volunteers:

The school year has begun, and the Regeneron Research program is in full swing! Over 40 returning seniors had a wonderful research experience in their respective laboratories this summer, but are now faced with the daunting task of writing a scientific paper about their projects.

Though some of the biology teachers assist in reviewing these papers, Mr. Econome needs additional individuals who are willing to devote their time to critically review and edit student papers. Our students’ papers should reflect the devotion, sacrifice and quality of effort put into their research projects to give them the best possible chance of performing well in the various upcoming science competitions.

If you are a professional scientist or were at one time, and would like to volunteer your time to construct a meaningful critique of a student’s research paper, please contact Mr. Econome at jeconome@schools.nyc.gov.  Please provide a brief statement describing the type of research paper you are qualified to review; most of papers are biology-based, however, some are physics-related.

Many did an amazing job reviewing and editing the papers last year, and if your schedule permits you to help out again this year; it would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance for your consideration!
