Parent Teacher Conferences (4/7 & 4/8/2022) Tips & Tricks; 4/8 Special Schedule

Parent Teacher Conferences (PTC) will take place via phone calls from teachers on:

Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm

and/or

Friday, April 8, 2022 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Parents/Guardians who signed up on Talos by April 2 will receive their appointments on April 4. We encourage you to use your Pupilpath account to view your child’s progress thus far. If you need assistance with Pupilpath, please reach out to Eric Lin at elin41@schools.nyc.gov. You may also access report cards on your NYC Schools Account or on Talos by clicking ‘grades’ then ‘MP1’.

Read the PTC Tips Sheet for suggestions on what to discuss and how to prepare for conferences.

Reminders about your requests:

  • There was one form for each student on Talos.
  • The last data set entered is remembered by the system no matter which parent/guardian fills it out.
  • If there are special circumstances which require individual conferences in split households, please reach out to us for further instructions at ringram3@schools.nyc.gov
  • You will receive interpretation with your call if you indicated it in your request.
  • Conferences with teachers are 5 minutes each or 8 minutes if interpretation is needed.
  • Conferences with counselors are 8 minutes each or 12 minutes if interpretation is needed.
  • Be available to answer calls that say “unknown”, “private” or “unlisted” on the PTC dates.
  • Remember: you made requests, not appointments on Talos.. The copy of your requests is NOT a confirmation of appointments or a schedule. You will be programmed for as many appointments as possible after all requests are received. You may not receive all your requests.
  • The number of teachers that parents will speak to is dependent upon the number of parents that signed up and how many teachers they are interested in speaking to.
  • Parents/Guardians of students in grades 11-12 will be prioritized to see College Counselors.
  • Parents/Guardians in all grades (9-12) may opt to see a School Counselor. Priority will be given to grades 9 and 10.
  • Changes cannot be made once appointments are distributed. This includes the phone number you entered. If you entered it inaccurately, please reach out to the teachers you receive appointments with for the correction.
  • If you do not receive an appointment with teachers/counselors you ranked, you may reach out to the teacher/counselor with your concerns/questions being cognizant that a response may be delayed at this busy time.
  • Appointments cannot be added to a teacher’s full schedule on April 7 and/or 8.

Please do not email requests for appointment times for April 7 and 8.. Teachers will not make appointments during PTC times via email as they will be fully assigned.

Students will follow the schedule in the photo.
