<p>Parent Teacher conferences will take place on Thursday, November 16 from 5:30 to 8pm and Friday, November 17 from 1-3pm through phone calls that were requested by parents on their Talos accounts. You will receive your schedule on November 14. <b>In preparation for conferences, refer to this</b> <b>TIP SHEET.</b></p><p>There will be a special schedule on Friday, November 16 or students with 10th period ending at 12:11pm. There are no after school activities or AIS on Thursday or Friday. All students will leave the building after 10th period.</p><p>Please note, there is no way to add conference appointments to teacher schedules once the deadline for requests passed (November 9 at 5pm) as advertised. Please remember this is not your only opportunity to speak to a teacher or counselor about your child.</p><p>Reminders from our previous instructions:</p><ul><li>Conferences with teachers are 5 minutes each or 8 minutes if interpretation is needed.</li><li>Conferences with counselors are 10 minutes each or 12 minutes if interpretation is needed.</li><li>Please be sure to carefully review the phone number in your email, which you entered on your request; as we cannot change it for you. If you made a mistake, you will have to contact teachers to update them.</li><li>Be available on your appointment date to answer calls that say “unknown”, “private” or “unlisted” as teachers may call from private phone numbers.</li><li><b>IMPORTANT: You may not be scheduled for ALL your requests – this is NOT an error.</b> The number of teachers that parents will speak to is dependent upon the number of parents that sign up; how many teachers they are interested in speaking to; and the number of appointments that can be scheduled in the allotted time frame including translation time and counselor assignment, which extends conferences.</li><li><b>Please do not contact teachers asking them to “add” you to their schedule. Teachers have calls scheduled for their full time frames.</b></li><li>Changes cannot be made once appointments are distributed.</li><li>If a teacher is absent on PTC, they will contact you to arrange a mutually agreeable alternate time to have the phone call; we cannot 'fill in' your schedule with more calls due to absences.</li></ul>
