<p>Mr. Stan Katx shares that last week the <b>NYC Math Team</b> competed in the <b>Princeton University Mathematics Competition (PUMaC)</b>. Results were confirmed and <b>for the first time ever, the NYC Math Team won the competition!</b></p><p>Our top team, <b>Tin Man</b>, was made up of 8 students, 5 of whom are from Stuyvesant - <b>Srinath Mahankali, Rishabh Das, Ethan Joo, Max Vaysburd and Theo Schiminovich.</b></p><p>Two of the students, <b>Srinath Mahankali</b> and <b>Rishabh Das</b>, along with two students from our second team (<b>Scarecrow</b>), <b>Mario Tutuncu-Macias</b> and <b>Jerry Liang</b>, qualified for the individual finals. <b>Tin Man was ranked first individually, as well as as a team.</b></p><p>Scarecrow ended up finishing 12th overall. Both teams placed in the top 10 for the proof round (2nd and 6th places). <b>Scarecrow was made up entirely of Stuyvesant students - Declan Stacy, Ben Kreiswirth, Jerry Liang, Mario Tutuncu-Macias, Maxwell Pang, Alice Zhu, Joseph Othman, and Josiah Moltz.</b></p><p><b>CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!
