Notice of Parent's Association Elections for 2025-2026

NOTICE: The Spring Election for the 2025/26 academic year will be held during the online PA General Meeting on Tuesday, May 13 at 7 pm. All parents of current Stuyvesant students are encouraged to vote and to consider running for office. The PA Officer Positions to be elected are as follows:

  • President (2 parents may run as Co-Presidents)
  • First Vice President
  • Second Vice President
  • Recording Secretary
  • Corresponding Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Assistant Treasurer
  • School Leadership Team (SLT):
    •     Senior Parent Delegate (1 + Alternate)
    •     Junior Parent Delegates (2 + Alternate)
    •     Sophomore Parent Delegates (2 + Alternate)

This shall also serve as notice of the formation of the nominations committee, the composition of which has been published on the Stuyvesant Parent’s Association website

To run, please complete the nomination form by May 7th and the candidate statement by May 9th.

The term for all positions is one academic year, commencing July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. Note: All Members-at-Large and the Freshman SLT delegates will be elected in September 2024.

If you are contemplating running for office, the nominations committee strongly encourages you to read the full candidate eligibility and election rules in the Stuyvesant High School Parents Association By-laws. Importantly, all PA members should note the prohibitions on campaigning either on your own behalf or on behalf of a candidate.
