Mr. Sandler's students in AP US History were invited (all expenses paid) by Schreiner University in Texas, to visit the Alamo and interview staff for their National History Day project on the Alamo. This happened after the students, Justin Ha and Michael Huang interviewed staff at the university as a part of their research on their NHD project. The professor was so impressed with them that he had the school finance their visit and his students learned about their project!
