On Friday, Ms. Annie Thoms’ Writing in the World seniors performed interview-based monologues on the stage of the theater (with the audience sitting on the stage as well). She shared that the class has talked a lot this semester about, in Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's phrasing, "The Danger of a Single Story," and they have all interviewed someone who has a story to tell that in some way expands on/breaks stereotypes. The monologue project is something Ms. Thoms does with seniors every spring previously done in her Women's Voices class.
